FCC seeks more data from MCI and Verizon
The U.S. Federal Communications Commission has asked MCI Inc. and Verizon Communications Inc. to turn over reams of data about their customers, revenues and services as it reviews Verizon's $8.5 billion deal to acquire MCI.
The agency, in a May 5 letter released on Monday, asked the companies to provide, among other things, a list of business customers, revenues earned from clients who spent more than $1 million in 2004 and details about competitors.
