Geldof blasts 'sick' eBay-Live 8 ticket sales

Well, it looks like this whole Live 8 concert/fund-raiser/fiasco is going to be a proverbial three-ringed circus. Yesterday, we heard the news about how people in the U.K. set a new Guiness record for the most text messages ever generated for a single event, and today we hear that Bob Geldof (not looking very healthy these days, is he?) is complaining about Live 8 ticket sales on eBay.

Via The BBC.

Bob Geldof has branded the sale of Live 8 tickets on the internet auction site eBay "sick profiteering".

The Live 8 organiser called on the website to ban sales of the tickets for the London show, which were won through a text competition.

Scores of pairs of tickets have already been put up on the site with some pairs being offered for £1,000.

Update: It looks like Geldof succeeded in making eBay feel guilty enough to block sales of Live 8 tickets after all. What a wanker.... Via The Inquirer.
