TV via telephone runs into snags

An article by Matt Richtel and Ken Belson (The NY Times) in The International Herlad Tribune reports that:

SBC, the telecommunications giant, calls its planned television service "Project Lightspeed." Unfortunately, its introduction is not living up to the name.

Technical, legal and programming stumbling blocks have disrupted SBC's ambitious plan to sell TV programming over high-speed lines. The first limited commercial introduction of the service may not begin as planned at the end of this year. And SBC is unlikely to meet its timetable for offering the service over its 13-state region in the next three years.
