Power Outage Hits Georgia

Via MosNews.

Lights went down nearly throughout Georgia at 2:45 p.m. Moscow time on Sunday, Itar Tass reported.

Failures in the Imereti and Kartli 2 high-voltage power lines temporarily disabled the republican electricity grid, a source in the Georgian United Energy System told Itar-Tass with the reference to the preliminary information.

Railroad traffic has stopped, and the Tbilisi metro is out of operation.

The blackout did not cause panic. Georgia has electricity problems once in two months on the average.
