Georgian Capital Hit by Power Outrage

Eastern part of Georgia, including the country’s capital Georgia, was hit by major power outrage on Sunday morning.

A spokesman for the Tbilisi’s electricity distributing company Telasi told RIA Novosti that the blackout was caused by a breakdown at a 500-KV Imereti power line.

Life support units have been de-energized in Tbilisi. People have been evacuated from the subway, railway traffic suspended, the water cut off.
