Austin Man Arrested For Wire Tapping Ex's Phone

He went through bizarre lengths to keeps tabs on his ex-girlfriend. Now a 54-year-old Austin man is behind bars, facing stalking charges.
The suspect's name is Charles Myers. He allegedly used some very simple electronic equipment to record his ex-girlfriend's conversations.
Police say he cut into a phone line outside of her house, connected another wire to a recorder and listened to all of her phone calls.
Police say the victim became suspicious. She said Myers knew information he would have only known from her private chats.
So, she hired a private investigator to debug her house. He found the recorder hidden in the crawl space underneath the house.
Police set up surveillance and caught Charles Myers red-handed.
