Comcast to acquire Susquehana Communications
Marguerite Reardon writes in the C|Net Broadband Blog:
Comcast, the nation's largest cable company, just got bigger.
The company announced Monday that it's buying Susquehana Communications, a cable TV and high-speed Internet provider based in York, Pennsylvania. Comcast is paying roughly $540 million for about 230,000 subscribers in Pennsylvania, Maine, New York, Mississippi, Illinois and Indiana. Comcast already owned about 30 percent of the cable television and broadband services division of Susquehana Pfaltzgraff, the parent company of Susquehana Communications.
