Danish Telecom Courted by Other Buyers

An AP newswire article, via SFGate.com, reports that:

Danish telecom TDC A/S is being courted by a second group of suitors who have offered a price similar to the original $12 billion bid made earlier this year by a different group of private-equity firms, according to a published report.

The report helped push TDC shares up 3 percent to 339.50 kroner ($54.25) in Copenhagen trading.

The Wall Street Journal reported Wednesday, citing unidentified sources, that U.S. and British private-equity firms Cinven Group, BC Partners, Apollo Management and Silver Lake Partners made a bid for the Copenhagen-based provider of telephone and telecommunications services.

TDC had no comment on the report.
