SEC launches investigation of Motive, Inc.

Motive Inc. disclosed late Monday that the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission is conducting an informal investigation into the Austin software company.
In a filing with the SEC, Motive says it thinks the investigation relates to the recent restatement of its financial results and to stock sales by certain executives, who weren't named.
