UK: News Corp. buys Propertyfinder.com
A Reuters newswire article, via Yahoo! News, reports that:
News International, the newspaper arm of Rupert Murdoch's media conglomerate News Corp, said on Wednesday it had purchased the UK classified advertising Web site Propertyfinder.com for 14.3 million pounds.
Under terms of the deal, News Corp and realestate.com.au, its 51.5 percent-owned Australian subsidiary, purchased 95 percent of site owner Asserta Holdings from venture capital firm Arts Alliance and minority shareholders including Hamptons Group Limited.
News Corp and realestate.com.au will each own 50 percent of the company, and realestate.com.au will have management control.
