AMD Files Site Plan for Southwest Austin Campus

Advanced Micro Devices Inc. has submitted its site plan for its new corporate campus in Southwest Austin.
The filling is yet another sign the company is committed with following through with plans to build an 825,000-square-foot, $200 million campus in Austin.
The new campus, known as AMD Lone Star, will bring together local nonmanufacturing operations spread among several locations in Austin. Roughly 2,000 employees will move to Southwest Austin in mid-2007.
