CSC, DuPont Agree on IT Service Contract Extension

An AP newswire article, via The Mercury News, reports that:

Computer Sciences Corp. on Tuesday said it finalized an extension to its contract to provide information technology outsourcing services to DuPont Co., in a deal worth an estimated $1.6 billion to $2 billion.

The companies had announced an interim agreement back in July.

The new contract, which has a term of seven years and seven months, extends the services provided by Computer Sciences through December 2014. The companies signed a 10-year global IT outsourcing contract in 1997. Under the contract, Computer Sciences operates DuPont's global information systems and technology infrastructure.
