Not Bird Flu: PetSmart Quarantines Birds at Texas Stores

PetSmart Inc. pulled hundreds of birds from display at its Texas stores after two birds showed signs of a bacterial infection.More here.
Company spokeswoman Jennifer Pflugfelder says two cockatiels have tested positively for psittacosis, a common bird infection affecting the respiratory system.
"This is most certainly not the bird flu. This is a common illness in birds," Pflugfelder says.
