British Soccer Star Takes Shot at Google

British soccer star Ashley Cole and his lawyers are apparently taking Google to task over why searches on his name generate alternative search results for "Ashley Cole gay," according to the Evening Standard's "This is London."

Cole's lawyer Graham Shear was quoted in the article today as saying: "I am keen to find out whether the decision to include the term 'gay' to the keyword 'Ashley Cole' was an editorial decision or one made by a computer." The article later notes that a Google spokeswoman said alternative search terms are generated automatically.
