Skype Buys Voice Technology Firm

VoIP firm Skype said that it bought Sonorit and its subsidiary Camino Networks in a deal worth around $27 million.

Exiled Skype CEO Niklas Zennstrom said the acquisition will add a heap of expertise to its own technology team.

The firm it bought provides high quality speech processing, coding and transmission technology.
