Admittedly, I read "betrayal" instead of "braying" in this sentence:

"Feckless Arlen Specter is joining the Dems in another round of Beltway braying over NSA's counterterrorism programs..."

But you have to admit, this sentence is constructed to cast aspersions on anyone who makes a big deal out of this whole NSA data analysis/wiretapping fiasco, no?

Feckless? According to a dictionary defintion, "feckless" is defined as either "Lacking purpose or vitality; feeble or ineffective" or "Careless and irresponsible."

I think I agree with Jack Cafferty, who said yesterday:

"We all hope nothing happens to Arlen Specter, the Republican head of the Senate Judiciary Committee, cause he might be all that stands between us and a full blown dictatorship in this country."
