Sprint Gets Clearance for UbiquiTel Acquisition

A Reuters newswire article, via Yahoo! News, reports that:

Sprint Nextel Corp. has received U.S. antitrust clearance to acquire its wireless affiliate UbiquiTel Inc. for about $1 billion, U.S. officials said on Thursday.

U.S. antitrust authorities have closed their review of the deal without taking any action to block it, the Federal Trade Commission said in a notice.
