Vancouver Blanketed with Super High-Capacity Network

Via The Globe and Mail.

MetroBridge Networks is providing an ultra-high-capacity network in Vancouver's urban core with a multi-gigabit network.

The multi-gigabit network is designed to have the capacity corporations need to increase the speed and efficiency of business tools. This will affect office locations and enable companies to work closely with vendors and suppliers anywhere around the world.

The network features radio links that shoot from tower to tower, eventually building a ring, like that of a spider web. As a result, there are at least two paths going into a building. The data can go in any direction based on destination, speed and availability. Once the data hits the destination tower, there is wired routing equipment that goes down to each customer. There is no ground wiring that has a greater tendency to be cut or overload.
