Vodafone Rebuffs Verizon Bid

The Vodafone Group has rejected Verizon Communications’ $38-billion bid for Vodafone’s 45 percent stake in Verizon Wireless, according to reports Tuesday, and is holding out for a $50-billion price tag.

Verizon’s bid fell short of Vodafone CEO Arun Sarin’s expectations for his company’s stake in the wireless company, according to the British newspaper The Daily Telegraph.
