Independent Gaming Conference Headed for Austin

The Texas Independent Gaming Conference will kick off Saturday, July 22.

The conference will be held July 22 and 23, and will take place at the Crowne Plaza Hotel at 6121 N. I-35 at Highway 290.

The conference is geared toward independent game developers and will address challenges and issues facing the industry, such as where the industry is heading, where the best opportunities are and how to get funding. Industry veterans Greg Costikyan, CEO of Manifesto Games, and Warren Spector, head of Junction Point Studios Inc., have signed on as keynote speakers. Other speakers include Gordon Walton of Bioware Austin; Billy Cain of Critical Mass Interactive; and Michael Kimball, audio manager at Midway Studios in Los Angeles, among many others.
