UK: Wrong People Could End Up in Jail Over Data Protection Breach

New measures from the Information Commissioner designed to combat the growing trade in illegal personal data could punish the wrong people, a trade body has warned.

The Commissioner's plans could result in the jailing of people who thought they were buying legitimate information, according to the head of the Institute of Credit Management (ICM), Philip King.
