Cisco Urges FCC to Break Gridlock on AT&T-Bellsouth Merger

Cisco Systems Inc. today filed a letter with the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) asking it to hurry up and approve the merger of AT&T Inc. and BellSouth Corp.More here.
Cisco, in its first comment to the FCC on the subject, says that the delay is hurting equipment manufacturers.
BREAKING UPDATE: Via the Associated Press, "The Federal Communications Commission's top lawyer on Friday authorized a commission member to vote on the proposed buyout of BellSouth Corp. by AT&T Inc., despite an apparent conflict of interest. The move could break a deadlock on the deal."
