Freekin' outstanding. Henry, you rock!

Via TruthDig.

The former rocker delivers an R-rated Olbermann-type diatribe against the “enemies of democracy” who would like to lock up the Internet in a dank Gitmo jail cell.

I work on net neutrality issues and have always been a Rollins fan from back in the Black Flag days, but Henry needs to go back and study the issue again. He asks who would dare regulate the Internet? Well, Henry, by supporting net neutrality, YOU are asking Congress to regulate and shape the future of the Internet, and that is the biggest danger facing the Net as we know it.

Just to show that I'm not a censor, I allowed the "Hands off the Internet" folks to post comments, even while they continue to propagate their disinformation.

Be advised, folks, that this group is entirely funded by the telecommunications industry and have but one goal -- domination of how you use the Internet, and the ability to charge you whatever they desire in their gaol to fatten their bottom-line.

Don't be fooled.

Again, please take a moment to look at the member organizations of "Hands Off The Internet" -- you'll see that it is nothing more than a lobbying front for telecom interests.

Here.

This is about as disingenious as it comes, folks.

As opposed to:

Save The Internet

A genuine, and realistic effort, to ensure that the telecoms don't stick it to you.

Ferg-

I fail to see how the Hands Off the Internet coalition is being disingenuous. The Hands Off coalition includes non-profits, policy groups, small businesses, and large corporations among its members, as do pro-neutrality organizations such as "Save the Internet" and the "It's Our Net" coalition. And as you've demonstrated, our mission and our member organizations are clearly and easily accessible on our website. If we were attempting to hide something, we're doing a terrible job of it.

Now, scaring the public into supporting net neutrality through the use of hyperbole, gross mischaracterizations, and unfounded doomsday scenarios -- that's disingenuous.

I think people are smart enough to make up their own minds. And I encourage them to do their homework and decide for themselves.
