Worst Idea Ever: Prosecute Unsafe Computer Users?
I'd have to say "Yes", it is the worst idea ever.

I ran across this article today discussing how people should be criminally prosecuted or at least have internet privileges taken away for propagating malware.More here.
I really have no idea if this guy is supposed to be an expert or really has no clue how malware works, but frankly this means almost every man woman and child should be in jail or at least be unable to use the Internet.

Yeah, the article is really, really stupid.
On the other hand, it *is* a student media outlet, run by students. I live in a university town, and you would not believe the stupidity that shows up in the pages of our local student rag.
Of course, it comes as no surprise that the state of modern journalism is going to hell in a handbasket, if these students are at all representative of the future journalists of the nation.
Of course, now the author is trying to use the "I am a troll" get-out-of-jail-free card, but I don't buy it. Such an excuse (other than patriotism) is the last refuge of a scoundrel.
