General Dynamics Tasked With USCG Computer Security

General Dynamics Corp. will provide 24-hour technical and operational support to the U.S. Coast Guard’s computer networks under a $10.5 million one year contract awarded by the Homeland Security Department.

General Dynamics of Falls Church, Va., will provide technical and program management support services to the Coast Guard Incident Response Team. The company will assist and coordinate department-level incident responses and identify, report and manage the resolution of computer security irregularities.

General Dynamics also will provide database management, vulnerability assessments, penetration testing and systems administration of network sensors.
