Security Concerns Boosted VeriSign's Dot-Net Bid?
A Washingtonpost.com article this morning (also available via Yahoo! News) suggests that Verisign "owes its latest coup to a savvy lobbying effort in which VeriSign worked through the press and with its industry allies to play up already heightened concerns about the stability and security of the Internet" in it's effort to secure the .net registry bid.
