Lawmakers line up against in-flight cell phones
A USA Today article by Barbara De Lollis, via Yahoo! News, reports that:
Passengers hoping to call Mom from 35,000 feet suffered a political setback last week in the U.S. House.
At the first congressional hearing on the subject in years, members of a House subcommittee uniformly derided the proposal to lift the 14-year-old ban on using cell phones in flight. For many lawmakers, it was the first chance to put themselves on record against a pending proposal that has little support in public opinion polls. And they did just that.
