Putin Fires Head of Space Company After Launch Failures
An AP newswire article, via USA Today, reports that:
President Vladimir Putin fired the head of Russia's space construction company, the Kremlin said Tuesday, after a series of embarrassing launch failures dented the program's prestige.
A decree signed by Putin replaced Alexander Medvedev as the head of Khrunichev with Vladimir Nesterov, who has worked in the Russian Federal Space Agency since 1992.
