Canada: Millions Still Missing in UK Fraud Case

Greg McArthur writes in The Globe and Mail:

British Transport Police are still asking what happened to the millions Malik Kaci stole.

Four years ago they raided his television repair shop in North East London and uncovered a counterfeit credit card factory equipped with Canadian-made RenCode software.

On Saturday, The Globe and Mail published a story about Rob Cattral, a Canadian PhD student whose RenCode software has helped al-Qaeda terrorists, based in Europe, steal hundreds of thousands of dollars through credit card fraud. One of Mr. Cattral's clients, an Algerian named Kamel Daoudi, was convicted of organizing an attack on the U.S. embassy in Paris in 2001. Two other Algerians arrested with Mr. Cattral's software in 2001 were sentenced to 11 years in prison for funding terrorism in Leicester, England.

This is a very one sided story, they make Mr.Cattral sound like a poor victim. When in many peoples opinions he is just a low-life who has a knack for computers.
Maybe if they interviewed someone other than Rob Cattral for this article there would be more to it.
There is soooooo much more (or should I say less) to this person than the writer of this piece of one sided dribble will ever be able to show.
