Austin: Nation's No. 2 Green City
A new study found Austin is one of the most environmentally-conscious cities in the country.More here.
The Green Guide recognizes cities that provide the most energy-efficient, least polluting and healthiest spaces to live.
Austin ranked No. 2 on the list, behind Eugene, Ore.
Some of the issues taken into consideration include: anti-smoking legislation, rebates for use of solar and wind power, environmentally-concerned residents and a high percentage of parks and wooded areas.
Austin was the only city in Texas to make the list.
