3G Phones in Finland Doubled in One Month

The number of third generation mobile phones in Finland doubled in the month after new laws took effect on April 1 allowing bundled sales of phones and subscriptions, a senior executive at operator Elisa said on Monday.

"The number of 3G handsets has doubled in a month, they are now 2 percent of all phones and the churn has come down," Matti Vikkula, Elisa's executive vice president for private customer business, said at Helsinki's MobileMonday technology fair.
