AT&T Takes Huge Gamble -- Spends $4.6B to Offer TV Services

AT&T Inc. is spending $4.6 billion to make television available to 19 million homes in 41 markets by the end of 2008.

The company, which has operations in Austin, plans to offer television service in 15 to 20 markets by the end of the year, AT&T spokesman David Moessner told the St. Louis Business Journal, an affiliated publication of the Austin Business Journal.
