Camada: Ottawa Asks CRTC to Think Again on Decision to Regulate VoIP

Ottawa has asked the federal telecommunications regulator to take another look at its decision to regulate voice over Internet protocol (VoIP) phone services, a move the country's dominant phone companies say is encouraging.More here.
A year ago, the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission (CRTC) opted to regulate the rates the big phone companies charge for VoIP services, as it does in the local phone market. The CRTC doesn't want to see smaller providers disappear.
