New Cisco Product Part of Transformation

When Cisco Systems announces its high-end teleconferencing system on three continents today, the curtain will finally be pulled on what some inside the telecommunications industry have dubbed the company's "worst-kept secret.''

Chief Executive John Chambers plugged the video system's productivity benefits on a recent MSNBC broadcast. Client companies, a few analysts and even President Bush and Prime Minister Tony Blair have seen demonstrations of the technology, which analysts say makes it seem meetings thousands of miles away are taking place in the same room.

So what is it about a teleconferencing product that has Cisco crowing?
