U.S. Toll in Iraq

Via The Boston Globe (AP).

As of Friday, March 28, 2008, at least 4,005 members of the U.S. military have died since the beginning of the Iraq war in March 2003, according to an Associated Press count. The figure includes eight military civilians. At least 3,261 died as a result of hostile action, according to the military's numbers.

The AP count is five more than the Defense Department's tally, last updated Friday at 10 a.m. EDT.

More here.

And as always, the Iraq Coalition Casualty Count keeps the grim watch on their website here.

Honor the Fallen.

And for Mr. Bush's clean war with no photos, no blood, no destruction: How many Americans have come home maimed or paralyzed; How many Iraqi's have perished since we liberated the country? How many Iraqi's have been maimed or paralyzed? This is not to be disrespectful of those placed in harms way who have given their lives. How will Mr. Bush deal with reality when his cloak is lifted, and people realize they've been had?
