Cisco to buy VoIP gear maker Sipura

It looks like Cisco Systems is positioning itself for further penetration of VoIP into the residential broadband market. Stephen Lawson (IDG News Service) reports in InfoWorld this morning that "Cisco Systems has agreed to acquire VoIP (voice over Internet Protocol) vendor Sipura Technology for integration into its Linksys Group division, the networking giant announced Tuesday."
