Spreadfirefox.com hacked

Tamlin Magee writes in The Inquirer:

FIREFOX PROMOTION PAGE spreadfirefox.com was hacked last weekend, Mozilla staff member Asa Dotzler revealed in a release on the site.

The attackers apparently hacked in to try and use the site to mail out spam - ironic, considering Firefox has always prided itself on being more secure than other browsers such as Internet Explorer.

Asa recommends members of the site log in and change their passwords, just to be safe. Members should have received an e-mail letting them know how they can update their passwords. Apparently, no personal data had been accessed by the attackers.
