Virginia Man Convicted of Pirating $20M in Software

A MAN WAS convicted in a Virginia court yesterday for pirating $20 million worth of computer software.
The FBI and the software industry nicked Nathan Peterson after a long investigation.
Peterson will go to prison for between 70 to 87 months and will have to pay back $5,402,440.
The Software Information Industry Association (SIAA) said [.pdf] that Peterson sold pirated software using an online site. The SIAA said he was convicted under the Copyright Act, and he will be sentenced in the New Year.
