Computer Security Institute Inadvertantly Discloses Member Info

The Computer Security Institute apparently needs some training of its own. The organization, which provides training for security professionals, confirmed Monday that it inadvertently disclosed information on its members and event attendees in e-mails to others in that group. The e-mail was an invite to join a Webcast called Security: The Application Point of View.

"An error occurred, in which your name and address were inadvertently given to one other CSI member or potential event attendee," CSI Director Chris Keating wrote in a note sent last week apologizing for the mistake.
