Skybox Security Inks Deal with VeriSign

Via Red Herring.

Skybox Security said Tuesday it will partner with VeriSign in a move that could help the startup break out of its niche and gather a wide audience for its risk-profiling technology.

VeriSign said it will offer a security service based on the startup’s technology that will help enterprises identify, visualize, and quantify information security risks as part of its managed security services unit.

Founded in 2002, the San Jose, California-based Skybox Security launched the risk-profiling product about a year-and-a-half ago. Skybox helps companies virtually model their networks and then helps them simulate attacks on the model so that they can look for vulnerabilities, and network access loopholes.
