Judge Tosses Out Rambus Verdict
A Reuters newswire article, via ExtremeTech, reports that:
A U.S. judge on Monday tossed out a $307 million patent infringement award to Rambus Inc., saying the computer technology developer could accept much-reduced damages or face another trial.More here.
Judge Ronald Whyte of the U.S. court for the Northern District of California offered Rambus $133.6 million, agreeing with South Korean memory chip maker Hynix Semiconductor Inc. that the previous award was excessive.
