DHS Infoshare Network for States Critisized

A U.S. Homeland Security computer network to share terror information is not working.

The network is designed to connect federal officials with state and local counterparts but it is not working, says a government audit.

David Powner of the Government Accountability Office told lawmakers the Department of Homeland Security had "rushed to deploy (the Homeland Security Information Network, or HSIN) after the events of Sept. 11, 2001.
