Alltel Teams With Navtrak, Telogis to Offer Vehicle Tracking

Alltel Corp. reported partnership with Global Positioning System services company Navtrak Inc. and fleet management company Telogis to offer business customers a vehicle-tracking service using GPS technology.More here.
A mobile device installed in a vehicle will use signals from GPS satellites to get information on the vehicle’s location, speed and direction; the information then will be transmitted over Alltel’s CDMA2000 1x-based Axcess MobileLink data network to a Navtrak or Telogis operations center, then on to the customer.
